I’ve talked about the pitches I get that don’t fit here. Many, many bloggers talk about that. Maybe one day I will try to explain how bloggers are still real media and how our readership is actually as, if not more impressive and actionable than the majority of the big papers etc. (Readership up online, down on paper copies; more trust… yes, it’s actually quantifiable….)
I got one recently that just… argh! Really? No, I mean it… SERIOUSLY? No one cares!!!! Which of course meant I needed to start a list. I’m hoping beyond hope that this might help the people I do work with to tailor pitches. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Maybe it will cull the crap from my inbox, if only it gets read. I guess we’ll have to see.
